Daffodil Day In Timaru Celebrated

A recent report claimed how Daffodil Day in Timaru was celebrated. It was by Mitre 10 Mega staff that funds were raised for a noble cause in the name of annual Cancer Society fundraiser. It was worth seeing how those interested lose their locks and that too at the hands of their work colleagues.

However, what caught the attention was Manager Paul Fisher losing his locks along with his two eyebrows for the noble cause. It has been claimed by Cancer Society health promoter Kate Johnson that whatever funds would be raised would go for those who are some or the other affected by cancer.

"We find that we're getting donations off staff all the time. They get a bit weary so we thought staff can bid to shave someone's hair”, said Mr. Fisher, who had earlier plans of implementing the concept under the company.

Figure of the final amount would not be revealed any sooner, however, it would remain in the district itself. With so many cancer patients around the world, efforts like such are bound to get paced up, thereby making sure that whatever possible support is gained, reach those who are in dire need of the same.
