This world of galaxies is simply amazing, full of surprises, interesting but at times even hard to understand, beyond the thinking of human.

Recent photograph from the Hubble Space Telescope showcases two perfect galaxies, which are simply opposite of each other, still jointly demonstrate well known galaxies in the universe.

The stunning photo has captured the typical elliptical galaxy, Messier 60 and its spiral companion NGC 4647. These galaxies are together called as Arp 116.

Spiral galaxies consist of flat, rotating disk which includes younger, hot stars, which glow and emit blue light, gas and dust, defining their whirling spiral arms. They are known as spiral galaxies due to their shape, which extends from the center into the disk. Milky Way galaxy is also a type of spiral galaxy.

On the other hand, elliptical galaxies are approximately of the ellipsoidal shape, with smooth and nearly featureless brightness due to the presence of ageing stars, which are cooler and redder.

The image highlights the glowing golden light emitting Messier 60 and the NGC 4647 moving around emitting purple light.

Scientists are currently viewing the image thoroughly to administer whether the galaxies are close enough that they will intermingle. "Regardless of whether they are actually close enough to be interacting, however, the two galaxies are certainly near neighbors", Hubble scientists said.
