As per a recent report, it has been revealed that a grizzly bear has left a whitefish area after a week’s period. A state grizzly bear management specialist Tim Manley has assumed that it is probably from the Whitefish Range.

Feeding on fallen fruit and garbage for the period, the 271-pound male bear was captured on Saturday. The 3-year-old was seen between U. S. 2 and the Whitefish River in the south of Montana. He was on a place with a bear-resistant trash container.

However, a GPS collar has been fitted into the bear. Also, he has been relocated in the North Fork Flathead drainage to the Whale Creek area. People residing in bear habitat are being suggested to keep fallen fruit, pet foods as well as garbage and other potential attractants safe.

Even the garbage dumpster on the property where the bear was caught has been replaced with a bear-resistant dumpster by the owners. The aim is to prevent or be prepared for any risks down the road, as per the findings.

It is being said that the GPS radio collar would also allow biologists’ team to track all the movements of the bear. And thus, any upcoming risk would be recognized early.
