As per reports, it has been revealed that McDonald's will be providing calorie count of every food item that it provides in its menu. It seems that McDonald's has been making great efforts to put across a health image of it in front of consumers.

It all started when it started providing fruits and then agreed for not providing happy meal toys for children, and now the new move, which will initiate from next week. It is said that the move will be applicable in as many as 1,400 McDonald's eateries in the US.

Experts said that a lot many steps have been taken to bring down the obesity level of the country and McDonalds efforts seems to be one among them. Jan Fields, who is the head of McDonald's USA, was of the view that they want that their customers should be aware of the calorie content that they have been consuming.

"As a company that has provided nutrition information for more than 30 years, we are pleased to add to the ways we make nutrition information available to our customers”, further asserted Fields. He further affirmed that they will soon be providing more nutritious choices in their menu.
