Nokia Launched Two New Touch-Screens, Affordable

Apple and Samsung-like tech giants have been leading in the cellophane market with the latest models of smartphones they come up with. But, Nokia is still struggling to cope with such high-end smartphones even if it has launched many of its smartphones, a recent report has found.

Therefore, to defend its market position, the company has, on Tuesday, launched two new mid-range touch-screen cell phones, the report finds. The idea behind the same is for sure big sales, since its basic cell phones have previously also helped it generate maximum revenues.

Also, those phones worked better than its smartphones when it came to customer satisfaction. Rather, its smartphones have only made it lose share in front of Samsung and Apple's smartphones.

It is being said that Nokia's breadwinner are the basic phones only. No doubt, people love to switch over to smartphones only these days. But, the ones who need an affordable and easy-to-operate phone make these phones the bread and butter.

The Nokia Asha 308 and the Nokia Asha 309 are would probably be available at $99, when taxes and subsidies are excluded. Deliveries may commence from the fourth quarter itself. "The new Asha devices are essential to defend Nokia from a raft of low-cost Android alternatives", said Geoff Blaber, CCS Insight analyst.
