The Tri-Cities Cancer Center on Monday night organized its 3rd annual "Let's Make Pink Just Another Color" event.
The event, which was held as a part of ongoing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, spread awareness about the deadly disease of breast cancer locally.
Organizers said that the event attracted more than 200 men and women, who were provided with all important information about breast cancer as well as about the preventive measures such as regular screenings and examinations, which can help detect the disease before it gets too late.
Organizers praised the local community, saying it played a significant role in putting the event together.
Elizabeth McLaughlin, Foundation Events Specialist, said, "This is such a generous community, and we're so blessed to have so many wonderful people who help us offer things that aren't offered in other communities and its all because of donations through the community."
The entire building was lit up with more than one thousand pink lights.
Separately, Panera Bread and its franchises are selling pink ribbon-shaped bagels in Green Bay to support the fight against breast cancer. It is the 11th year in a row when Panera Bread and its franchises are selling the Pink Ribbon Bagels.
