In order to celebrate the America's landscapes, 15 postage-size stamps have been developed, which have been clicked by professionals. The 15-stamp set will be available with the U. S. Postal Service. Best part of the pictures is that all the photos are aerial shots.
It has been revealed that the photos had a great opening, as they were released at the NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Joseph Corbett, who is the chief financial officer in the Postal Service, was of the view that aerial shots are quite beautiful.
It seems to have no comparison with other photos, as it seems that it is a really different beauty. "That's why the Postal Service is proud to offer these Earthscapes stamps, which invite us to take a bird's-eye view of the land we all share”, he further affirmed.
As said, the pictures have been taken by experts. Two of them have been taken from the from the Landsat 7 satellite. Meanwhile, five of the photos have been taken by known photographer Jim Wark, who is 81 years old.
Wark was of the view that he has spent hours in deciding about the kind of photos he wanted and then decided different angles. It was then that the pictures were being taken.
