A software system has been created that will help in tracking greenhouse gas emission in Los Angeles. The software system has been named Hestia Project. It has come to light that the software displays places from where the carbon dioxide is emitted in the atmosphere.

The greenhouse gas emission has been witnessed everywhere on streets, factories and neighborhoods. Many are mistaken about the emission of carbon dioxide. There are few people who believe that carbon dioxide emission comes from scientific advancements and from the laboratories. However, the truth is that each and every household contributes towards carbon dioxide emission.

Professor Kevin Gurney from ASU's School of Life Sciences said, "People know that energy efficiency is good for everyone. It saves money, it lowers air pollution and it lowers greenhouse gases". Gurbey informed that the new software will help in understanding as to which substance or machine should be shut down to lower the emission of carbon dioxide.

In the coming weeks, researchers and scientists will remain busy with Hestia Project. It is hoped that the project will help in lowering the harmful emission of carbon dioxide.
