Dead Whales Discovered in South Africa and Boston

For scientists, the discovery of whale corpses will pave the way for in-depth study as huge amount of samples could be collected. Recently, people in South Africa and Boston witnessed dead bodies of whales floating on water.

As whales are heavy in weight, the help of earth movers was taken to help in disposing the bodies of whales. On Monday, the earth movers put great efforts in shifting the corpses of whales on to the truck. After loading them to truck, the corpses were disposed at landfill.

The dead bodies were measured 30 meters wide and 98 feet long. It has come to light that an adult whale can weigh 60 tons. The Manger of Cape Town's cleansing and solid waste management department, Claire McKinnon said, "It's quite a common occurrence though. We do get whales regularly washing out especially at this time of year. Our job is to remove them and dispose of them correctly".

It has come to light that newly discovered corpses had bitten up by Great White sharks. Following the incident, local beaches had been shut down.
