An obstetrician from NSW claimed at a NSW Medical Tribunal hearing that he is being represented as one who is worse than Hitler. Wednesday, Roman Hasil was present for the hearing, which is to decide whether or not he should be allowed to practice medicine, following the brain injury.
Roman Hasil was suspended from practicing medicine since February by NSW Medical Tribunal in Sydney, justifying that the 57-year old was not fit enough to carry out the practice and also mentioned that several complaints have been lodged by the patients against his misconduct.
Further, as Hasil failed to pay his medical board fees, he was not only suspended but also is not registered in NSW.
Detailed reports subjected that Hasil was discovered to be associated with drink-driving and also was found drinking in the hospital car parking area. Further, while he practiced at the Lismore Base Hospital between 2001 and
2005, as many as 15 patients complained against the rude comments made by him, including ‘horse woman’, ‘slut’.
The Tribunal was informed that Hasil is unfit to practice as he suffers mental impairment as a result of his brain injury.
Sarah McNaughton SC said, “He should be disqualified from being registered as a medical practitioner until specific conditions have been complied with, including undergoing intensive rehabilitation, psychological intervention and random alcohol testing”.
