Singaporean Students more Likely to Practice Unsafe Sex

A survey recently revealed higher unsafe sex among students as compared to those who have already finished their studies.

Above are the results of the latest annual survey commissioned by condom brand Durex upon more than 500 Singaporean students aged 18 to note about the practice of unsafe sex among them. The experts noticed that the students were 20 times less likely to use condoms or practicing safe sex while performing it for the first time than the ones, who have finished their studies.

Findings of the attest survey have totally contrasted the worldwide trend, which says students are averagely 1.5 times more concern about the related facts and thus they are always more likely to use condoms for their first time round.

Researchers have urged the need for early sex education among students following the above findings, said Mr. Nikhilesh Kalra of Reckitt Benckiser Malaysia & Singapore.

"Parents, teachers and peers need to step up to take a more proactive role in sharing information about safe sex, especially since condom use at first sex has been found to have a positive impact on sexual health later in life", said marketing director of the consumer goods group.
