Exmouth Football Team Raises Funds in Movember
The Bank United FC football team from Exmouth has participated in the Movember event and has raised funds for the same.
The team grew moustaches for the event and carried out fund raising along with spreading awareness about the deadly male diseases. The said that it was a tribute from them to father of their team manager Adam French who died of prostate cancer earlier in this year.
John, Adam's father was diagnosed with the cancer in the end of 2010. He underwent many treatments after that but was unable to beat the disease. He, finally, lost his life in August. After death of his father, Adam decided to participate in Movember and grow moustaches in memory of his father. Jointly with his team, they raised £500 for the charity.
Movember event is aimed at spreading awareness and raising funds with an aim to improve men's health. The main focus is towards the prostate cancer and other male problems. The event is held in the month of November every year.
