A report has uncovered lately that it could now be possible to find the cause as well as treatment for the genetic Parkinson's disease. It is being said that the scientific breakthrough of human brain cells by a team of scientists in the US has raised a new hope of treating the fatal disease.

For the very first time, the team of scientists has developed human dopamine neurons, which are being expected to help them in studying the mutations in the parkin gene. The team told that the research and creation of human brain cells from Parkinson's disease patients having parkin gene mutations is the realistic model of genetically caused Parkinson's disease that would help them to find out how the mutations caused the disease to occur in one in every 10 patients.

The new development by the team has brought a hope to everyone as all previous researches and studies into the disease have been found to fail since years because of some or the other obstacle. Researchers from the team explained that the brain is so complex and fully integrated that it is not possible to acquire live human neurons and conduct a study. However, they had not thought of creating brain neurons, but their innovative development would be a great boon for patients of Parkinson’s disease and those at risk of the disease.

Dr. Michelle Gardner, Research Development Manager at Parkinson's UK, showed his excitement saying that they have found a new way to delve genetic form of Parkinson's. "Parkinson's UK funded research has already shown that parkin plays a key role in how Parkinson's develops in the brain nerve cells that die", he added.

According to the report, the next step of the scientists would be to test the neurons and find treatment strategies for the genetic disease.
