SETI LIVE Program Launched

The question of life on other plants has been brooding over the minds of astronomers for quite long. With the pursuit of solving the mystery, an institute for Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence, Zooniverse together with TED has launched a program called SETI LIVE.

Through the SETI LIVE program, the scientists would be tracking the radio signal of the space. The aim of the researchers is to gauge whether anyone from outside the Earth is using computer or radio. From the past 50 years, the astronomers have been trying to solve the mystery behind aliens.

The Head of Zooniverse, Chris Lintott was reported as saying, “We know people have been trying to look for signals from aliens for more than 50 years. In a way it’s asking the grandest question in the universe, which is ‘Are we alone?’ But we can’t do it alone and our computers can’t do it alone”.

It is hoped that the program would help researchers and the students who are interested in exploring the space. In 2010, speculations were made about the aliens. However, no evidence was provided to support the belief of the astronomers.

David Slavsky is one of the astronomers who had held a faith on the existence of the aliens in the world. He was the one who said that the aliens are much advanced in terms of technology. He further asserted that the aliens might be keeping an eye over human activities through satellites and other gadgets.

The belief of David Slavsky made the researchers and astronomers to fear. It is believed that through the newly launched program, radio signals coming from the outside the world would be traced and it would be revealed whether or not there is life on other planets besides the Earth.
