It has been recently revealed in a report that the motor firm Toyota has planned to recall as many as 700, 000 vehicles that had been manufactured by it. These include Camrys, Venzas and Tacomas. This is actually being done because there have been a number of different problems reported in them.
They are going to recall a number of Tacoma trucks, which were made in the years 2005-09. This is because it has been revealed they require a steering wheel spiral cable change. The firm has further revealed that due to the manufacturing follies in these vehicles, the vehicles might ted to face a lot of friction between the retainer and the spiral cable of the vehicle and this would mean that over a span of time, the airbag connectivity shall be lost. This might give rise to lethal consequences in the case of an accident.
This is the reason the company had to make this major recall. It shall definitely prove to be a lot of discomfort for the customers who own these vehicles, but the firm shall make sure the least possible trouble is borne by them.
There are Venzas and Camrys being recalled as well, the ones which were manufactured from 2009-11. This is because they need to get the stop lamp switches of the same replaced. This is because according to the mistake that was made earlier, the inside of the switch would have received the silicon grease and this might be the reason for a lot of electrical resistance. They firm have made an endeavor to make these changes thorough the major recall, so that the customers can get good vehicles in the best condition in the time to come. It is for the benefit of the customers and shall work towards making their experience with the firm better with time.
