A report has uncovered recently that Apple Inc. has been aiming at extending its business by developing a new campus in Austin, Texas.
Considering the improvement in its operations in the state, Apple Inc. has been planning to increase its workforce and is thus investing an amount of $304 million in its new campus to be built. It has been found that the company would also receive funding from the Texas Enterprise Fund in return for a promise from it that it would employ more than 3,600 people in the new campus.
As per the findings, it would be backed with an amount equivalent to $21 million from the state fund, which has been created to draw advanced companies. While Apple's consumer device giant in Cupertino, California has already been employing thousands of people in Austin, the firm now purposes to allow more employments in areas of customer support, sales and accounting.
The report says that Apple has been remaining at the top in terms of market capitalization with $500 billion this month. Also, only a few companies could give a tough competition to Apple, including Microsoft and Exxon Mobil Corp., says the report. It has been found that the company has recently also launched a new iPad with a sharper screen and faster processing chip, hoping to earn more profits.
It has been told by a spokesman for the company, Steve Dowling, that their business undertakings have grown at a fast pace in the past decade, reaching somewhat more than 3,500 at present as compared to below 1,000 in the year 2004.
Apple's initiative to build a new campus would definitely bring more success to the company, believes he.
