As per a report, which has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, it has been revealed that Canadian hospitals, which spend more on the care of patients, are the hospitals which see lower mortality rate and less admission to intensive care.

It was a comparative study, in which it was seen that US health care which is known to earn money through medical profession is the one which witnesses increased mortality rate and patients admitted to intensive care unit.

Lead author Therese Stukel was of the view that they have found that US medical care system is not as good as it is of Canada. Stukel, who is a senior scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto, was of the view that difference can be seen between quality and quantity resources. US is the one which likes quantity and at the end, it gets nothing out of it.

At another place, there is Canada, which tried to use quality resources so that their patients get best facilities. “When we spend more, and when we place these specialized resources, we’re doing it in an efficient way”, said Stukel.

Canada health care system is such that they do not discharge patient without making sure that he is perfectly fine to leave hospital. This is the reason that Canada’s health care plan is known to be the best across the globe.

In contrast, US healthcare system is such that they make sure that they are able to treat as many patients as they can so they do not lose on monetary grounds. They have similar facilities as the ones, which are present in Canada and has better medical workforce than Canada, but then also they lack.
