As per the revelations of a new report, a federal appeals court is being asked increasingly by abortion foes as well as the state attorneys to allow them to stop Planned Parenthood from receiving any federal and state funding.
The lawyers say that U. S. District Judge Neil Wake had last year ordered the state to keep allowing Planned Parenthood to receive planning funds. But, the ruling was an outcome of an error.
Yes! They while in legal briefs that are registered with the 9th U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals have affirmed that the judge was mistaken when he said that a state law though aimed at Planned Parenthood, was supposedly violating federal laws.
As per the findings, the filings in the court by attorneys have come in the wake of refusal by a state judge to the state to cut all funds from Planned Parenthood. The judge on Monday in Texas said that abortions are also offered by the agency.
The privately funded Alliance Defending Freedom's attorney Steven Aden says that allowing it to get funds means frustrating the public's interest in making sure that abortions are not directly or indirectly aided by taxpayer dollars. "The question of who is qualified makes the whole law vague and amorphous", said he.
