French Citizens Think President Hollande will fail to Reduce Unemployment finds survey
The top most political priority of President François Hollande is to bring a decline in the level of unemployment in France. Mr. Hollande has said that he will reduce unemployment by the end of this year.
But it seems that nothing of such sort is going to take place. It has been said so as an Ifop poll was carried out. As per the poll, it has been found that 84% French people think that Mr. Hollande will not be able to fulfill his promise.
The poll was carried out between July 29 and 31 and has been published in the right-wing "Valeurs Actuelles" magazine. At the time, when Mr. Hollande has talked about the unemployment in the country, he has suggested certain plans to curb the problem.
He was of the view that he will be increase the number of state-subsidised jobs. As per Mr. Hollande, this action will bring a decline in the level of unemployment.
Though Mr. Hollande has suggested the above mentioned measure, the International Monetary Fund among other economic analysts has predicted that it will take some time before France achieves its target.
Mr. Hollande has said on New Year's address that he will do anything to bring a decline in unemployment. But opposite to the same has been found as unemployment has increased to a 15-year high.
