Hawaii is Healthiest State of America in 2013

The United Health Foundation's America's Health Rankings for 2013 has been publicized. As per the same, Hawaii has been said to be the healthiest state in America in 2013.

The list makers have assessed the 50 states and the District of Columbia. There were different parameters when the rankings were made like obesity and smoking rate. There were a number of other new factors that were considered while making the list like deaths taking place from substance abuse and dental care.

Not only has this, the model and rankings making procedure also been changed by the United Health Foundation. Hawaii in general also is very beautiful place and full of flora and fauna and has some really lovely beaches.

Now it can add one more feather to its cap and that is of becoming the healthiest state in nation. Some of the factors that have led Hawaii to reach at the topmost position are decline in smoking rate and crime rate in past year.

Child immunization rate has been found to be quite high in Hawaii. Not only this, obesity rate has also reduced and a decline in preventable hospitalization incidents has also been found. As many as 48.2% high school educated adults aged 25 or more have been found to be having health as very good or excellent in Hawaii.
