Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to hit Australia on Aug 19; preorders open Aug 5
Bigwig South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung’s newest flagship handset -- the Galaxy Note 7 -- will be available for purchase in Australia with effect from August 19.
The preorders for the Galaxy Note 7 in Australia are scheduled to open on August 5. The device can be preordered from Samsung Retail and Samsung.com.au, as well as from Telstra, Vodafone, Optus, Virgin Mobile, JB Hi-Fi, and Harvey Norman.
As a preorder bonus, Samsung will give a 256GB microSD card to customers who preorder the Galaxy Note 7 before August 18.
The retail cost of the forthcoming Galaxy Not 7 handset in Australia will be AU$1,349, which will be marginally higher than theAU$1,249 retail cost of the Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone which was launched by Samsung earlier this year.
The Galaxy Note 7 will be available in three color options for Australian buyers --- black, silver and gold.
Some of the key features of the Galaxy Note 7 include 5.7-inch AMOLED display; a quad-core processor; 4GB RAM; an iris-scanning camera; microSD slot; a 3,5000 mAh battery; USB-C connector; and the S Pen stylus.
