Amazon’s first-ever Digital Day sale to be held on Dec. 30

Online retail giant Amazon is set to launch its first-ever Digital day sale – called ‘Amazon Digital Day’ – on Friday, December 30, 2016.

As is evident from its name, the Amazon Digital Day sale will mark Amazon’s new sales holiday which will chiefly focus on digital deals. According to a description by Amazon, the company’s Digital Day will essentially be "the deal event for your devices."

During its Digital Day sale, Amazon will offer a number of attractive deals on digital content. Some of these deals include a markdown of up to 80 percent on video game titles; and up to 50 percent discount on TV shows and movies, and 75 percent discounts on digital comics.

The move by Amazon to debut its first-ever Digital Day sale on December 30 underscores an apparent effort by the company to take advantage of the need of customers to grab content for their new digital devices – including smartphones, tablets, computer, and video game consoles – which they have purchased, or received as gifts, this holiday season.

The Amazon Digital Day sale will go live on 12 a.m. PST on December 30, 2016; and will last for only 24 hours. Amazon customers interested in benefitting from the sale can go to the Digital Day announcement page and sign up to get notifications on the one-day sale, as well as monthly updates on news and deals pertaining to digital content.
