Family Brawl Scandal Entangles French Minister

A French Government minister witnessed to be at the center of the celebrity-turned-political scandal is reported to suffer from soaring pressure to file a resignation.

Eric Woerth is reported to have given France’s richest woman, Liliane Bettencourt, a tax rebate of 30-million euro. However, he has dismissed the claims of having personally agreed for the refund, which although not popular is above board.

But, Woerth’s wife is believed to be the hand behind the fortune of L’Oreal heiress Bettencourt, who is being pointed for a tax relief at a time, when Woerth’s job was in the field to hunt the tax dodgers.

Arguments were all over the air that whether secret tapes made of Bettencourt's private talks with Banier, her financial adviser and her lawyer, given by a former butler, should be posed as evidence in the case.

They uncovered that Bettencourt had been veiling millions in a stealthy Swiss bank accounts in a bid to eschew from taxes, had named his wife of a former budget minister and had given her young protégé a Seychelles island.

The fiscal ambiguity emerged out when celebrity photographer Francois-Marie Banier, was landed into the court by Bettencourt’s daughter.

Françoise Bettencourt-Meyers has charged Banier of taking undue advantage of her 87-year old mother’s mental weakness to grab a billion euros.
