Many People in Midwest Saw Fireball Streaking Across Sky
A light show took place in sky on Thursday at around 5.40 pm. Many people in the Midwest have affirmed that they have seen the show while providing descriptions of bright, colorful lights moving either east to west or south to north.
Now, debate has been taking place, where the light show was a meteor or space debris. An amateur meteor spotter who caught the show in camera in Williamson has affirmed that the fireball seems to a meteor, which was crossing the north sky.
Experts were of the view that if that was a meteor then there is not much to wonder as one can see meteors in a clear sky. "It could also be some space debris. Anything that goes through our atmosphere from outer space is going to be going at pretty intense speeds and that's going to cause a lot of friction", said Richard Miles, an astronomy expert.
On the other hand, Miles also thinks that parts of meteorite can make it to the earth. It is known that anyone has been hurt due to meteorite hitting them. Experts were of the view that there are very few chances that anyone would have got hurt from meteorite.
